Just Wondering

I subscribe to several designer blogs for cards. They make beautiful cards but I always wonder how in the world do they send them? They use big beautiful bows and embellishments that would cost a fortune to mail!! Way to impractical for our little post office. Just ideas I guess.....?? Or to sell something??

Comments??

Alot of my cards end up very heavy, with embellies. I buy envelope boxes for the ones that are too heady for the envelope. They look really well presented, I think its the finishing tough.
Usually a Large First Class stamp does the job. Most people that i make the cards for dont post them.

Hi Candy:I end up using 5" x 7" padded envies from the dollar store to send cards that are heavily embellished.
That way I know they survive the handling at the Post Office. Costs me between $1.10 and $1.65 to send, so twice to three times as much as a normal first class card. Sometimes good friends are worth the extra price!
