I subscribe to several designer blogs for cards. They make beautiful cards but I always wonder how in the world do they send them? They use big beautiful bows and embellishments that would cost a fortune to mail!! Way to impractical for our little post office. Just ideas I guess.....?? Or to sell something??

Impressabilites Demo
This is a FYI for you. I found this on UTube and love the technique. The first part is stop and go which will drive you nuts but at middle it stops that.

At You Spicas
A long time ago I bought some glitter pens at Costco. You know "the whole bunch of pens for not much money"?? Well they didn't work worth beans so I gave up on glitter pens, thought they were a waste of time and money.
Evidentally they read my mind!! (It's a quick read!! lol) I took the plunge and bought the At You Spica glitter pens. They come 12 to a pack for about $30. They are WONDERFUL!! They cover and glitter with ease. It was a great purchase. I used them on a project that was teeny, tiny where Stickles just couldn't go. Love them!!! I bought them at Ellen Hutson (web page is on the side).

The joke is going to be on me if they don't sell!! Let's see, maybe Christmas gifts??? lol Anyway, I am down to only two months to design and finish! Yippee!! Then when the wooden frames get done, I'll paint and distress and package them.

Christmas Card 1

A customer ordered 100 Christmas cards. They can be alike in groups of 10. I stole this idea from Cardmaker but of course did it my way. It's decorated inside also. It's a very pretty, simplistic card.
Each holly leaf is punched out and then three tiny holly berries glued on. Thank goodness I only had 10 to do (I did do a couple extras!!) I even dreamed about gluing on those berries!

March through July Calendar Pages

After working days and into the nights, I have 7 months done. All the little parts are colored, cut out, punched, glittered and whatever.
However, the laundry is out the door and multiplies as I type, there is only Watermelon and Cantaloupe to eat in the fridge. So on to laundry and cooking for awhile!!

My New Project

After finally getting my room done, I'll start showing my newest project. I am SO excited about it!!! I am doing a dozen of these to sell at a Saturday Market this fall. I am only doing 12 of this project as I absolutely hate repeating. I will be showing the months as I get the prototypes done.
I haven't finished the wooden stands yet. I am waiting on that. I'll probably paint them and distress them.
I would LOVE to have comments and suggestions. So please post about any changes you would make!! I mostly want to know if they are too plain, do I need to add more goo-gahs??? I do tend to go towards the simplistic side. Let me know.
Today I am posting January.....

PS I got the stand and page protectors from Taylored Expressions. Danicas did the calendar pages for me.

The Last Areas

These three areas haven't changed much. I have two plastic shoe holders on the front and back of the door. They hold all the puches but the edgers (I suppose I could put my edgers there too. Just haven't done it.). The computer area and the baskets next to it are for my photo editing, internet and so on. The paper area isn't the most convenient but it is sorted by color, theme and company. The baskets hold things like extra images that are stamped, stickers (not too many of those) and other goodies.
Th-th-that's all folks!!
Now on to doing some scapbooking for the two boys. Fun, fun, fun!!!
Thanks for stopping by and looking. Double thanks for posting. I enjoy reading your posts.

Ribbons
I've shown you the Ribbon Rings before. A great system for hanging ribbons that aren't on spools.
I bought these ribbon holders off the internet, painted them black. They work perfect of ribbon on the spools. On top of them are the small Ikea jars that are filled with color sorted buttons. Works great. The buttons on the top shelf are colors I rarely use because they aren't as accessible. Eventially I play on adding more of these ribbon shelves on my broadway play wall. That's why I'm thinking of moving all play billboard frames to the top of the windows. The black bookshelf under the ribbon are filled with odds and ends of projects and SU stamps. The black binders are acrylics that are in acrylic page thingys. It's not a great system but it's the best I can come up with so far.

Cutting Area 2
I forgot to mention the first cutting area. I have my Big Shot on top of the wooden bank cabinet. I keep all the supplies for it in the black drawers on the the left. Very handy!!Today I'm showing you cutting area 2. Nothing spectacular but it holds my Slice and sewing machine. One of these days I'm going to get a mini craft sewing machine. This one is old as the hills and heavy to move, even sliding back and forth. But not for awhile.....
At first I wanted the cutting machines all in one area. It just didn't work with the size of the Cricut Expressions. So I've settled for three areas with all the "stuff" with each machine. It seems to work because I don't have to dig for this and that and I KNOW where everything is. It's all about convenience and organization when I craft.
On the wall I have framed broadway plays and concerts that I've gone to. I wish I had done it when I first started going. I don't have some of the earlier ones like Annie, Pride and Prejudice, La Miserabes, Simon and Garfunkel, Elton John, Bon Jovi and so on...but I do have all the later plays and concerts. It's fun to look up at the wall and remember them and the time spent with my kids. I do think they will have to be moved to on top of the two windows because I'm starting to need more wall space for my ribbon holders. We'll see.
I love to see people's ideas in their craftrooms. I'm just hoping this will give you inspiration.
Thank you for looking!!
Have a good weekend.

The Work Area

This is where I work. On the left are the drawers of things that I use all the time. Inks, embellishments and so on. The stamps on the wall are general stamps and are used often.
The bulletin board hangs all my Nestabilities. This works GREAT!!
This is a bucket system that I found at Ikea. It is absolutely perfect for my Marvy markers. My watercolor pencils are under the lamp. Not a perfect place but the box they come in is an awkward size and I need it to be accessable.
The pink/brown/black tote is full of my "have to have out" tools. It is on a plastic turntable and is perfect for what I wanted. When I take classes, everything but my cutter is in this bag.
Oh yeah, the added decor is Lucy on her perch. Be sad for her!! She slipped outside last night and got thumped by a stray. She was terrified!! Now I have keep checking for abscesses. Poor Lucy!!!
Thanks for stopping by. Be sure and ask any questions!! I know all (lol NOT)!!

Craftroom Pic 1

This is first area I'm going to show you. I used to have white plastic drawers that sagged and just didn't work! The two black drawer units are from the Best Scrapbook Shelves. Hmmm it looks like you can look into the drawers but in reality you can't. There is a gap between them but sitting here typing, I can't see the stuff inside.
The antique wood cabinet is full of stamps. The cabinet came out of the old bank here in Condon and works great for all kind of stamps. The thinner drawers hold wood mounted stamps. The three larger drawers towards the bottom, hold cd cases full of acrylics. On top is my Big Shot and all the supplies for it are in the black cabinet to your left. It also holds all my Just Rite Stamps and edge punches. Generally stuff that I do use but not all the time.
The small baskets underneath hold the cards I have made and are categorized.
On top of the black cabinets are jars I got from Ikea and hold my flowers. Now I can quickly see what I have (they are sorted by color) and what I lack.
The black cabinet on your right holds all the "stuff" I use a lot. Tomorrow I will show how that goes together with my actual stamping area.
Thanks for looking. Stay tuned!!

Craftroom makeover
I am almost done reorganizing my craftroom!! All the cabinets are up and functioning. I will post pictures of it tomorrow. Everything has a place which is such a good feeling. Also discarding more stuff that I just don't use is cathartic!!!
